Yep. Play-offs is over and it's going to be San Sebastian College against De La Salle University in the Shakey's V-league finals. SSC won over Adamson University yesterday, 3 sets to 1. Adamson was able to clinch the third set after SSC bagged the first two. The former nearly forced a five-setter match but to the disappointment of the Adamson fans at the Blue Eagle Gym, SSC proved to be more focused. Jaroensri Bualee outhit Cherry Rose Macatangay in the highly-anticipated duel of the league’s power-hitters, scoring all but one of her 26 hits on attacks, including one that broke a 25-all count in the fourth set.
The finals will be more exciting as far as I'm concerened. San Sebastian is very much poised to beat La Salle if the latter won't play their A-game. About the imports, DLSU have Jindarat Kanchana on their side but SSC have Jaroensri Bualee. I mean, what more can you ask for from Bualee? She's a superb spiker and I'm amazed that with her height, she digs the ball well. She's an excellent all-around player. Kanchana is also excellent and has monstrous attacks, but Bualee is the real deal.
DLSU, if we look at the past seasons and their performance in the eliminations, is most likely to win this finals. But we're rooting for San Sebastion and we're ready to witness a major upset.
