Someone told me she read the entry about Pamahiin and asked me: “If you hate Filipino movies the why do you watch them?” Hey, she’s got a point. Why do I indeed exert effort to watch movies I’m almost sure I’ll diss after? Well for you hordes of people out there, my answer to that question is: I don’t know. I don’t f*cking know. To tell you the truth, I’m a little concerned about my mental health. I realized that I’m such a sucker for movies that I bite in on everything. Or maybe because I’m a goddamn chicken when it comes to horror flicks that I choose to watch those that are not so chilling. Filipino horror movies barely scare my wits out so maybe that explains it. Yes, I’m pathetic.
Speaking of Pamahiin I also got to watch the overly hyped Feng Shui on DVD last year. The one with Kris Aquino, remember? I decided to see it because I recall how people swear that it’s going to make your heart stop. Well it didn’t. I vow not to see another movie with Kris Aquino in it. Watching her act was a pain. I rented a DVD copy of Dark Water (the American version). It’s not as spooky as I’ve expected. I never really had a chance to watch the original Japanese version so I don’t know which one’s better. Honestly, I think the flick Sigaw (starring Richard Gutierrez with Yam Laranas as director) – in terms of plot, sound, and directing – was better than Dark Water. Honestly. But don’t fret; Jennifer Connelly is enough reason for you to watch this movie. She’s so fine-looking you’ll forget about its flaws.
I missed about 3 episodes of Grey’s Anatomy. Bummer. Yesterday when I was channel surfing I caught an episode of a show called Arrested Development on Star World. It’s insane.
I AM SO THRILLED. LAL is OUT of the PLAYOFFS. Kobe Bryant can gloat over his 85 point stunner all he wants. He's NOT in the Finals anyway.
I’m saying HELLO to Irvin. (Irvin are you reading this? HELLO!) He’s been my amigo ever since grade school! We’ve been friends that long but I haven’t seen his face for like 8 years now. Hah! See? I never forget. I'm a great friend. Though I admit I forget the names all the time. C'mon, who doesn't?
